ORGANISATIONAL
SUCCESS
Getting the management teams of an organisation to
perform well is essential to its success through the simple fact, that
the management teams spread through out the organisation are decisive in
transformation the overall business goals into market results. In particular,
a dysfunctional top management
team will spread confusion in the whole organisation, giving rise to
turf protection, departmental fights, de-motivation and eventually
|
inefficient utilisation of resources. When joining a management team,
you must be prepared to set aside your individual agenda and work for
the team’s interests, with shared visions and joint efforts.

IDENTIFICATION
OF THE ROOT CAUSE
When
management teams are not functioning, this is often explained by the
single phrase, “they don’t co-operate well”, followed by a series
of initiatives designed to inspire good co-operation. While this may be
relevant, it often only addresses part of the problem as the root cause
may lie elsewhere than first expected. Management teams’ ability to
yield top performance relies on a number of key factors, which must be
addressed simultaneously. Indeed increasing the management’s
competence as a team is an ongoing learning process.
KEY ISSUES:
Service
offerings We act as facilitators assisting management teams in
addressing key elements for efficient teamwork. The
action-reflection-learning cycle will be the basic driver for building
teamwork efficiency. We will be working with whole teams, subteams as
well as individuals, subject to specific defined needs. We conduct
tailor-made analysis on team performance whether by 360-degree analysis,
general problem identification investigations, or individual
assessments. We address the issues in a direct, yet respectful way.
In our
experience, management team efficiency is best developed while the team
is working on business relevant issues. Exercises set outside a business
context may not add sufficient value to the development of team
efficiency and may even, in certain situations, be counterproductive.
